Hello

Managing Director of Adaptive Nursing, Kerry Donaldson, started her career in 2003 after completing a Certificate IV in Mental Health (non-clinical), a Certificate IV in Age Care; a Certificate IV in Disability work and a Certificate III in Children’s Services as a Teacher’s Aid. She went on to become an endorsed, enrolled nurse in 2006.

Kerry graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2010 and now has over 20 years’ experience in the health sector. She has worked in major hospitals in medical, surgical, and mental health wards, in private practice  as procedural scrub nurse for vascular specialist / surgeon, and as chronic disease and diabetes management nurse for General Practices.

She has a wealth of experience managing and providing post-acute, restorative, rehabilitative, and palliative care as a community clinical nurse, working for community providers, aged care facilities, and for various disability services. Kerry has also worked as a home care package case manager, clinical advisor, and project coordinator.

About

Adaptive Nursing is a small, privately-owned nursing and care support business based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. It was founded by Registered Nurse (RN), Kerry Donaldson after many clients expressed to her, their desire to have her, as their only nurse.

Clients reporting, they " feel frustrated, in their efforts to contact case managers and roster teams, their phone call thwarted, placed in a queue, treated as a number rather than an individual. Having to deal with faceless entities that shuffle them between multiple staff members, feeling lost in a maze of red tape and bureaucracy".

“Their government funding allocations are whittled away, and their hours of direct in-home care are decreased by administrative costs and overheads instead” says Kerry.

And so Adaptive Nursing was born, with the aim of putting the personal back into personal care and the funds back into nursing hours rather than administrative overheads.

Our Mission is to give you the best quality home and nursing care at the lowest possible cost to you. We can do this, by cutting out executive positions, salespeople and case managers and we have no business premises to maintain and pay for.

We are nurses and disability care workers based in home offices. We are professional, experienced, and efficient and we put the heart back into nursing.

At Adaptive Nursing, you can talk to a Registered Nurse directly. If we are busy with clients, we will get back to you before the end of the day.

We use simple and effective systems to streamline our services, from taking an enquiry, booking a service and creating a care plan. We understand that no two people are the same and that’s why we provide tailored support service, unique to your situation.

Our skilled nurses have current Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA) licenses.
